This holiday let accommodation is located on the eastern outskirts of Carlisle in a small rural location. Again having the benefit of being able to access the services in Carlisle, however far enough from the city if needs be – a great location from which to access a wide range of outdoor activities.
Camping and Bothys
As members of The Mountain Bothys Association we have a whole network of Mountain Bothys which with our qualified staff, young people can access. Usually this will involve an overnight expedition either by canoe, Mountain bike or good old fashioned walking!
This can be a great experience for young people and a valuable exercise for learning. Young people are encouraged to think about what they may require to look after themselves, from clothing to food and water, and taking safety precautions such as first aid kits and informing Head Office where they are.
During the summer months we take young people on expeditions for 4 or 5 days which is when they will be either wild camping or camping at risk assessed public campsites if appropriate.
